Lauric Acid? Effective "Organic" Anti-Aging Miracle

WHAT IS LAURIC ACID?? First, thanks to all of you who are reading my blogs and sending me emails. I created Beaute From The Earth initially for selfish reasons, I was tired of paying for products that didn't deliver on promises. I admit that. But a great side effect was that when I began showing it to my friends and clients, they couldn't believe how great it worked. Although the ingredients are simple, volcanic ash and coconut oil, the reason it works can be perplexing. I hope to clear some of that confusion now.

On our moisturizer and "Just Coconut" labels, you see, 57% Lauric Acid. Lauric Acid is important because it is a natural antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal. When used in conjunction with the Beaute From The Earth masque or cleanser, a "seal" is created that protects your skin from free radicals. Lauric Acid is naturally only found in breast milk that is full of important nutrients, protecting new born babies from various infections and diseases. For years medium chain fatty acids have been added to infant formula as protection and nourishment for babies. Lauric acid in coconut oil is called the natural germ fighter. Lauric acid is also found in human milk (5.8% of total fat), cows milk (2.2%), and goat milk (4.5%). Lauric acid (and other medium chain fatty acids), unlike all drugs, have no harmful side effects. Medium chain fatty acids have also been known to help ADD patients.

Yes, you can eat coconut oil. My husband has been consuming 3 - 5 tablespoons of virgin centrifuged coconut oil (VCO) every day for the past 5 years and will NOT go a day without it. He had severe allergies, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a little weight problem, however, with the addition of VCO to his diet, he no longer has any of the above symptoms. Yes, losing weight is also a benefit of the VCO. So naturally when I began my quest for a moisturizer, hubby was quick to educate me on virgin coconut oil and Lauric Acid. I always make sure my clients are aware of the different coconut oils. There is coconut oil for cooking and then there is coconut oil for consumption. I would not recommend eating plain coconut oil as it can be difficult to digest. I found the centrifuged coconut oil was much easier on my system.

As I am a "believe it when I see it" type of person, curiousity got the better of me when reading about coconut oil and its effects on thinning hair. I had medically-induced alopecia.
