Beaute by Debbie: Hello Everyone - First Blog For Me
Hi, if you don't know who I am, or what I do, this blog will be quite interesting. Many women start careers after their children enter school, nothing unusual right? How about starting your own skincare line in your late 40's? This blog will take you through the highs and lows of the business, what I go through on a daily basis and how the industry changes constantly and me trying to stay up with it. I in no way profess to be the world's foremost authority on skincare, but I certainly can tell you what I've been through on the journey to healthy skin.
As with all women, we go through the insane task of trying to find the best products for our skin type. Luckily for me, my mother was a Mary Kay consultant and at the ripe age of 14, I was forced to use Mary Kay. Now, of course, I'm thankful because I don't remember having any acne or skin problems in my youth, however, when I reached menopause - what is going on with that? Now through the years, I used everything from Maybelline to Lancom' but nothing seemed to fix the menopausal skin that made me realize how lucky I HAD been in my youth. Totally disgusted with the skincare systems out there, I thought I would do some research and see if I could find something that would work, for me!
I think I read and googled every product out there and came upon the realization that the ingredients in the mass market of skincare and cosmetics had the same basic ingredients as the program I was using at the time. So what good would it do me to use them, I thought, when all these products have the same core chemical ingredients in common. That lead me to the "natural" ingredients. What an eye opener that was. Did you know that even though a skincare or cosmetic is labeled as being natural, it can still have chemicals in it? Yea, I didn't either until I started this journey. Seeing that "natural" products weren't really natural made me wonder, could there be an all-natural skincare that really worked?
Having lost over 100 pounds with gastric bypass, I had loose skin everywhere. Though I did have a tummy tuck, I still hd the "turkey-gobble" blues (dangling skin under my chin). I thought I was going to have to live with Mr. Turkey forever. Never in my wildest idea would I have believed what I was about to find. Like I didn't have enough on my plate raising a 14-year-old, balancing career and wifely duties, I decided I would open a day spa because I really do love helping women reach their full potential. In doing so, I attended a spa fair where entrepreneurs could go and see the latest and greatest in the spa industry; everything from equipment to products and supplies. I was looking for products that were a) all natural, b) lived up to my expectations and most importantly, THEY HAD TO WORK ON ME!!
This led me to a booth where they were demonstrating volcanic ash clay. Volcanic ash clay was being used in large high-dollar spas in big cities like New York, Atlanta, LA. You would lay in a tub of the stuff for an hour costing up to $550. WOW, I knew that was way out of my price range besides, I'm from Alabama. Most women here could find a lot better things to spend that kind of money on than a tub of ash! On the insistence of the demonstrator, I brought home a small jar to try. I discovered when mixed with clay and mineral water, volcanic ash penetrates the skin and traps bacteria with its "cage-like" molecules. As you exfoliate, it firms and tightens the skin against facial bone structures. This stuff really did work and my skin felt absolutely wonderful, but sadly, there was no room for me to incorporate a tub and all the trimmings to go along with it in my day spa. So, I was left with an idea. Why not put the ash in smaller containers and let women do it in their own homes? After all, what woman wouldn't enjoy looking and feeling 10 years younger after using a product like this just once? There was the birth of "Beaute From The Earth", my all-natural anti-aging skin tightening system. But wait, didn't I need a moisturizer?
My husband had been eating virgin coconut oil (VCO) for a couple of years for its ability to lower cholesterol, natural antioxidant (cancer-fighting) properties and to aid in lowering blood pressure. When I told him of my product idea, he suggested using the VCO. "A facial moisturizer?", I questioned. All I could envision was oil being smathered on my already T-zone oily face. What a disaster, right? Actually, I was quite surprised when I tried the VCO, it was quite calming to my face and didn't leave it greasy. With its natural antibiotics, antifungal and antioxidant properties, I had discovered an awesome duo.
Now I had the perfect couple. Teaming the the volcanic ash with a natural antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant in the VCO leaves the skin totally sealed from outside hazards. I know, sounds too good to be true, right? I promise it is AWESOME! I'll even send you a free trial, all you have to do is email me (debbie@beautestarr.com) and tell me you wish to try it for yourself. I personally have placed Beaute From The Earth on over 100 women (and men) with no side effects. If your skin is plaqued with acne or those irritating pimples, this product will amaze you with the simplicity of its use.
Now that you've become acquainted with my story, I'll leave you with all this information. I'll be back soon with more discoveries...
